I did an interview with the Times of India recently about unconditional basic income and it was just published over the weekend. I cover UBI’s history, key findings, why universality is a key feature, and how it functions like a vaccine via prevention.https://t.co/UsDZOlRI27

„Unpaid care work is valuable work“
„We’re not invisible or silent. We’re just not heard.“
Unpaid care work is valuable work. Society should not only value it, but also empower people to do it. Unconditional basic income recognizes all unpaid work, whatever it is, and says „We hear you and we love you. Thank you.“ https://t.co/Cbv7WnwAra

„UBI is freedom from domination“ – Scott Santens writes
The only reason the idea of UBI has ever been divisive is because some people believe that other people should be subordinate to them, and many people agree with them in hopes of gaining that power for themselves. UBI is freedom from domination, via unconditional power to say no. https://t.co/VrGP591wna pic.twitter.com/nNpP2uTXtg

„Should we support the many basic income experiments that aren’t actually testing UBI?…

„What appears to be a waste of time at first glance…“ – so true
https://t.co/gQVQQNGG7O@scottsantens:
„There is no possible way of knowing for certain that something someone is doing…has no value…What appears to be a waste of time at first glance may end up having been an investment…in the mastery of something valuable.“ #UBI #BGE— BGE Eisenach (@bge_esa) October 25, 2020
„Unconditional basic income is not solely an income boost equivalent to a simple raise“
Unconditional basic income is not solely an income boost equivalent to a simple raise. It’s a structural change that removes barriers to other structural changes. It’s a foundational floor for everything else we need to do. It’s power. It’s time. It’s fuel for essential activism.

We aren’t even halfway to our goal yet and we only have 10 hours left. We really need to step it up today. Whatever you can donate if even $5, please do. If you’re new to the #YangGang and have yet to donate anything, now’s the time. And yes, buying merch counts. We must hit $2M. pic.twitter.com/e8eE83rYCq— Scott Santens (@scottsantens) February 10, 2020
Andrew Yang: „I learned so much from Scott Santens“
„I learned so much from Scott Santens. He’s the leading thinker on Universal Basic Income. He’s a man who’s been fighting for an idea, and the idea is so powerful, and has so much potential to improve our lives.“ – Andrew Yang@AndrewYang @ScottSantens #UBI #BasicIncome pic.twitter.com/PlRDOVyJSu

„It’s wrong to tell someone without boots that they pull themselves up by their bootstraps“
It’s wrong to tell someone without boots that if they pull themselves up by their bootstraps, they can go get a job so they can buy some boots. UBI is money that enables ALL work. It’s bootstraps for all. It’s economic JUSTICE. It’s long overdue. #MLKDaypic.twitter.com/iUgEQTo30E
